Children Tour

This tour will totally satisfy the child in you beside your child’s expectations! We will be staying in 2 major cities namely Cologne and Dusseldorf in Germany. We will also visit Dortmund and Cochem, a waterpark called Aqualand and a very interesting Theme Park, Phantasialand.

8th August – Sunday

Departure by AirMalta flight KM352 to Dusseldorf at 6:55am arriving at 9:50am. Group must be at the airport at 5:00hrs. On our arrival we will meet our coach which will take us to our hotel in Cologne, we will be given our rooms and then leave for a walking tour of this cultural capital and University City enriched with more than 2,000 years of history. We will visit the magnificent Cologne Cathedral which is a UNESCO Heritage Site. This cathedral is an international pilgrimage site, because it has held the reliquary of the Three Kings since 1164. It can be seen from nearly every point in the city centre and from many places elsewhere. Evening is free to wonder around and do some shopping.

9th August – Monday

Today we will spend a full day at Phantasialand, home to exotic landscapes, epic soundtracks and exhilarating rides. You will visit six alive theme worlds! Discover palms in the exotic jungle, wonder about the original Chinese Pagoda and listen to the mysterious whisper of the nasty basalt goblins! Phantasialand, also has Taron - the longest multi-launch rollercoaster in the world, and Raik - the world’s fastest family boomerang rollercoaster of its kind with forwards and backwards motion and for those who might be warm it also has refreshing water attractions so we recommend that you get your swimming attire.

10th August – Tuesday

We will start our day with a visit to Cologne’s zoological garden which has  more than 10,000 animals and over 800 species. Cologne’s Zoo was founded in 1860 and is one of the oldest, yet also one of the most modern. Following this experience we will relax for an hour on a mini-cruise on the Rhine. In the evening, we will visit Chlodwigplatz with its hip cafes and restaurants, old houses and that typical Cologne charm. This is the site of the Severinstorburg, one of the most beautiful city gates in Cologne.

11th August – Wednesday

Another different adventure awaits us today - Aqualand Freizeitbad, a water park which promises to provide a family day out that will entertain both young and old. For kids, there are waterslides for all ages, not to mention the Rocket Launcher, which is the first of its kind in Germany with a vertically drop of 10 metres, swerving you around the building at up to 50 kilometres-perhour. For adults looking for something more relaxing, a refined spa and treatment centre with twelve different saunas awaits you. Make sure you come with your swimming attire.

12th August – Thursday

After breakfast we head to Dortmund. Once powered by heavy industry, it is now a hightech manufacturing city. The old mines, steelworks and breweries are now kept as colossal monuments. In the centre of the city the former Dortmunder Union Brauerei is now an exciting cultural centre hosting the Ostwall art museum, which is jammed with Expressionist art. Beyond Germany’s borders most people will know Dortmund for its football team, Borussia Dortmund. We will visit the Signal Iduna Park which is the second largest club stadium in Europe, go on the Florianturm which is the 14th highest structure in Germany and the Westfalenpark, a 70-hectare green space with a multitude of little attractions to keep you engaged the whole afternoon.

13th August – Friday

There may not be a lovelier scene in Germany than the town of Cochem, couched in the high vine-clad slopes of the Moselle Valley. Today we will visit Cochem’s crowning glory, a Medieval toll castle rebuilt in a fairytale style in the 1870s and its old town with its half-timbered houses, scurrying streets and medieval gates is on a loop in the river. A chairlift which opened in 1955 will take us to a height difference of 155 metres. After we will visit a mustard mill which has been making Cochem’s favourite condiment since 1810.

14th August – Saturday

On this day we will leave the hotel in Cologne with our luggage direction Dusseldorf. This city has historic residences and parks built by Imperial Electors, art museums for all eras, cultural centres and medieval churches. We will drop off the luggage at the hotel and go for a hop-on-hop off bus ride in Dusseldorf.

15th August – Sunday

Our date of departure. We will meet at reception at 7:00am for check-out and proceed to the airport leaving Dusseldorf with AirMalta flight KM353 leaving at 10:40am arriving to Malta at 1:30pm.
